When do I schedule my move?

Once you’ve selected Burris Bekins as your mover, we will work with you to determine your moving schedule. Your move coordinator will confirm these dates and schedule the applicable services. Please keep in mind that, if you are moving during the summer, you’ll need to select your mover and coordinate these dates as early as possible as it is the busiest time of the year for moving services.

What do I pack?

If you have selected our packing services, our trained crews will use the highest quality packing materials to protect your possessions. Special packing materials are used for fragile items and pictures. The packing crews will also mark the cartons so they are placed in the correct room at your new home making unpacking easier.

How much does moving cost?

We offer flexible pricing options and we offer a range of options to meet your needs AND your budget.

We understand that you are working within a budget. Your Burris Bekins representative will review the payment options that Burris Bekins offers. You can choose to pre-pay the move, use a credit card, cash or pay with certified funds at the time of delivery. There are no deposits required. By simply signing an Order for Service with Burris Bekins, your order is placed and space is reserved on a truck even if you need to adjust your dates.

A Burris Bekins representative will listen to your needs and customize our services to fit your specific move and budget. The most accurate estimate will be based on performing a visual survey of your residence including any storage spaces, garage and outdoor areas. This process will allow your sales person to give you the best possible price.

Your estimate will include the transportation cost plus any additional services you may need. If you’d like an estimate on packing, crating for a special item or even storage (either at origin or in your new town), your Burris Bekins representative will provide those costs as part of the estimate. By having everything in writing, there will be no last minute surprises. Please see our moving guide for tips on how to minimize your move costs.

How do I pay?

We offer flexible payment options. You can elect to pay for your move with cash, certified check, credit card or other certified funds; no personal checks.

Who moves me?

What are your different price plans?

  • Actual Weight
    The price is determined based on the weight of the items that you are moving.
  • Not to Exceed
    A maximum cost which cannot be exceeded, and is based on the estimated items to be moved.
  • “No Excuse Price”
    A truly guaranteed price, which cannot change unless you change the items included on the estimate.
  • enCompass
    A program designed specifically for those who will be receiving a “lump sum” or direct reimbursement from an employer.
